TOURS › DEAD SEA & JUDEAN DESERT
Masada & the Dead Sea
This is the day of superlatives: the lowest place on earth, the most dramatic sunrise in Israel, and the strangest swim of your life. Masada rises first (by cable car or, for the early and the brave, up the Snake Path before dawn), where Herod’s palaces and the story of the Jewish rebels meet a view that silences every group. Then a stop of your choice: En Gedi, a short walk in nature to waterfalls and ibex in the middle of the desert, or Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, in the national park where the Yahad community lived and wrote them. And then the float: warm, mineral-heavy water that simply will not let you sink. The VIP vehicle carries towels, water and cold drinks; you carry the memories.
