Worshippers gathered at the Western Wall in Jerusalem

FOR JEWISH FAMILIES & CONGREGATIONS

Heritage Journeys

Roots, history and the living Israel of today, from the Western Wall to the start-up cafés of Tel Aviv, planned around your family.

ROOTS & THE ISRAEL OF TODAY

Your story runs through this land

Every Jewish family arrives in Israel carrying something: a grandmother’s stories, a name on a Yad Vashem record, a melody from services back home, or simply the feeling that this trip is different from other trips. We plan journeys that honor all of it, the three thousand years of history and the noisy, creative, complicated Israel of the present.

One day you are touching the stones of the Western Wall and walking King David’s city; the next you are eating your way through Machane Yehuda Market, arguing happily about hummus, and hearing how a country of ten million produces more start-ups than most continents. Both days enhance your heritage. We believe the trip is at its best when it covers both.

We are a second-generation family company, founded by licensed guide Dina Horn, led today by her son Ofir and a small team of licensed guides with private VIP vehicles. Three-generation trips are our specialty, and honestly, our favorite.

A SAMPLE JOURNEY

Ten days of roots and life

A shape, not a script. Your itinerary is written around your family, your pace and, if you’re celebrating, your Simcha.

Day 1 · Tel Aviv & Jaffa

Independence Hall, where the state was declared; Rabin Square; Neve Tzedek and Old Jaffa. The start-up scene over good coffee, and the beach, because you earned it.

Day 2 · The coast

Caesarea’s Roman harbor, the Baha’i Gardens over Haifa and Akko’s underground Crusader city, then north to the Galilee.

Days 3–4 · Tzfat, Galilee & Golan

Kabbalists’ synagogues and artists’ lanes in Tzfat, the ancient synagogues of the Galilee, the Hula Valley, Kibbutz life, and a Golan winery with a view.

Day 5 · Down the Jordan Valley

Beit She’an, the mosaic floor of the Beit Alpha synagogue, and a swim in the springs of Gan HaShlosha, then on to the Dead Sea.

Day 6 · Masada & the Dead Sea

The desert fortress and its story of defiance, En Gedi’s oasis, and the chance to float on the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, then up to Jerusalem.

Days 7–9 · Jerusalem

The Western Wall and its tunnels, the City of David, the Jewish Quarter’s rebuilt lanes, Yad Vashem, with time to reflect and remember. Machane Yehuda at lunchtime, the best classroom in the city.

Day 10 · Your day

Family roots research, a food crawl, an artist’s studio, or nothing at all. The last day belongs to you.

Want the Negev? The Ramon Crater and Ben-Gurion’s desert home usually take two to three more days. We add them as an option.

SHABBAT & KOSHER, YOUR WAY

Options, never defaults

Jewish families are not all the same, and we would never plan as if they were. Some of our travelers want candle lighting, a walk to the Wall on Friday night and a strictly Kosher table; others want Saturday on the beach in Tel Aviv. Most want something in between, and it can change from one Shabbat to the next.

Tell us what feels right for you and your family and we will build the week around it: hotels within walking distance of services, restaurant choices at any level of kashrut, a guide who reads the room. No assumptions, no judgment. Your way.

SIMCHAS

A Bar or Bat Mitzvah to remember

Celebrating a Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Israel is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Sunrise on Masada with the desert glowing gold. The Davidson Center by the southern steps of the Temple Mount, where pilgrims climbed two thousand years ago. A quiet synagogue in Tzfat, or a site that carries meaning for your own family story.

We help you choose the place, arrange the ceremony and the celebration after, and, most importantly, plan the whole journey, so that when the day arrives, your family can relax, enjoy being together, and be fully present in the moment. Grandparents included; that’s the point.

QUESTIONS WE HEAR OFTEN

Before you ask…

Can you plan a Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremony?
Yes: it is one of the things we love most. Families celebrate at the Western Wall, on Masada at sunrise, or at a quieter site of their choosing; we help arrange the ceremony and build the trip around the day.
How do you handle Shabbat?
Your way. Some families want a full Shabbat experience: candle lighting, dinner, a walk to the Wall; others prefer a regular touring day. Both are natural to us, and we plan the week accordingly.
Can meals be Kosher?
Yes, at any level of observance: from strictly Kosher restaurants to "Kosher-style" to everything goes. Tell us what fits your family and we will plan around it.
We are three generations. Can one trip work for everyone?
This is exactly what a private itinerary is for. The VIP vehicle keeps distances easy for grandparents, while the days keep teenagers engaged: and we are honest about what to skip.
Is it safe to travel to Israel now?
We answer this honestly and in detail, see our dedicated page. In short: itineraries follow the Home Front Command's daily guidance, a private tour can adjust in real time, and if a trip ever has to be cancelled we work it out together.
