THE JOURNEY

Small country. Enormous first trip.

Israel is the size of New Jersey and holds three thousand years of history, three faiths, a desert, a sea you float in and a city that stays up all night. Nine days is enough to see it properly, if someone who lives here plans the days. This is our classic shape for a first visit: Tel Aviv and Jaffa to land softly, up the coast to the green north, down the Jordan Valley to the desert, and Jerusalem last, because a first trip should end at the heart of it.

A Golan winery afternoon

Volcanic hills, a family winery pour and a lookout over the valley.

Shabbat dinner with a family

A Friday night at a local table, the Israel you cannot see from a bus.

Add the Negev

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions travelers ask

How much walking is there?

Most days are 2–4 km on uneven stone, with the vehicle always close. Masada is by cable car. Every day on this page carries its walking level, and any stop can be skipped.

What happens after I click "Get my itinerary"?

Ofir reads your note and replies personally, usually within a day, with a first draft. Nothing is booked until the plan feels right.

Can we change the order of days?

Yes. This page shows the shape of the journey; the one we send you is written around your dates, your pace and your calendar.

When is the best time to travel?

All year. The most comfortable months are March to June and October to November. August is hot, but it is also when school holidays let families come. We start early and plan air-conditioned breaks. February is cooler and part of the rainy season: roughly one day in three sees some rain, most often a passing shower, and we keep an indoor option ready for every day.

Is it safe to visit Israel?

The vast majority of the places we visit are safe, and you will feel at ease throughout. We stay close to the Home Front Command's daily guidance and, if anything changes, we adjust that day's route, which very rarely happens. If a trip has to change because of the security situation, we work it out together: new dates or a revised plan. We confirm the details in writing when you book. Read our "Is it safe?" page, or ask Ofir directly.

NO COMMITMENT UNTIL THE PLAN FEELS RIGHT
